Dr. Craig Ervine has been interested in health and social determinants of health for many years, and has gained an applied and academic understanding of the area of public health through both professional activities and post-graduate education. He holds a Master of Arts in Applied Philosophy from Queen’s University, a Master of Laws from Osgoode Law School at York University, as well as a Ph.D. in Health Studies and Gerontology from the School of Public Health and Health Systems at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Ervine is committed to both public health and community engagement as demonstrated through service on a variety of local boards and associations. He currently serves as Chair of Quinte First Credit Union, Director of East Central Ontario Training Board, Director of the Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health, and Director of the Ethics Practitioner’s Association of Canada. His past service has included positions as Director of the Belleville Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, Advisory Member for Quinte Health Care, and Advisor for the Nursing and Practical Nursing program at Loyalist College.
