March is Nutrition Month and this year’s theme is “Simply Cook and Enjoy!” Registered Dietitians, your food and nutrition experts, are encouraging busy Canadians to bring food preparation back into their kitchens and enjoy the pleasure and nutrition of home cooked meals.
“Every day, people all over Canada ask themselves what to make for their evening meal. Many may be tempted to visit a drive through or order take-out after a busy day,” says Melodie Tomas, Registered Dietitian with the Belleville Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic. “However, a homemade meal may be quicker and easier than you think.”
This March, Registered Dietitians in the Quinte area invite you to celebrate Nutrition Month by cooking quick and easy recipes at home. Check out their weekly series Confessions of a Dietitian on the Health Unit Facebook page for tips and tricks on tackling those busy nights.
