Maureen Piercy

Ms. Piercy has more than 30 years of leadership experience in Ontario community colleges, including eleven years as President of Loyalist College, serving as Vice-President Academic and in other senior roles at both Loyalist College and Sheridan College. She is currently Chair of the College Employer Council's Management Board. Ms. Piercy graduated from Loyalist College with a Print Journalism Diploma, holds an Honours BA from Queen’s University, a Master’s of Education degree from Brock University, and has completed all doctoral course work in Educational Administration through OISE, University of Toronto.  In 2009, Ms. Piercy was appointed to serve as an Honorary Colonel in the Royal Canadian Air Force. In 2012, the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) recognized Maureen as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the public sector leaders’ category. Ms. Piercy was appointed to the Board of Health as a Provincial Appointee in 2008, and was appointed as Board Chair on April 5, 2017.
