This class provides instruction on the safe preparation, cooking and storage of food in home and commercial kitchens. Upon successful completion of the exam, a Food Handler Training certificate is earned, which remains valid for 5 years. Be sure you can attend before you register, as there are NO REFUNDS.

Walk-in COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Parkdale Community Centre

Clinic for individuals aged 5 and over for any dose of COVID-19 vaccine for which they are eligible. Eligibility criteria can be reviewed on the HPEPH COVID-19 Vaccines page. Walk-in - no appointment necessary.  Appointments are also available for those who wish to book. Vaccination After COVID-19 Infection After COVID-19 infection, individuals are advised to wait the recommended interval to receive their next dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Other vaccines At this time, NACI recommends that children aged 5 to 11 receive the pediatric Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before or after another vaccine. For individuals 12 and older, COVID-19 vaccines may be given at the same time as, or any time before or after, other vaccines, including live, non-live, adjuvanted or unadjuvanted vaccines.

South East Health Unit

As of Jan. 1, 2025 Hastings Prince Edward Public Health; Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Public Health and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit will merge to form the South East Health Unit.

Partners and members of the public should continue to engage with their local public health offices as usual until otherwise directed.

Efforts are underway to develop branding for the South East Health Unit, which will take several months. In the meantime, you will see logos and other advertising material with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health branding. You may also see some documents using the legal name South East Health Unit.
