Inspections and Enforcement

Southeast Public Health routinely inspects and carries out enforcement activities at various public premises across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. These efforts help ensure compliance with provincial legislation to protect the health and safety of our communities.

To report a concern about a specific facility, please complete our online complaint form.

Inspection results and enforcement activities are publicly available for the following types of facilities:

  • Food premises (e.g., restaurants, grocery stores, food trucks)
  • Public pools and spas
  • Recreational water facilities (e.g., splash pads, water slides)
  • Personal service settings (e.g., salons, esthetics, tattooing)
  • Tanning facilities
  • Recreational camps
  • Child care settings
  • Small drinking water systems
  • View current boil water and drinking water advisories

Inspection results are available only for premises within Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. If you can’t find a location, it may not be inspected or included in current records. Due to system updates, only reports from June 2025 onward are available online. For earlier records, please contact us directly. Information on enforcement actions, including charges and convictions issued before August 1, 2025, can be found on our Charges and Convictions page.

Questions regarding this information can be directed to 613-966-5500 or 1-800-267-2803, ext. 677.
