Hastings and Prince Edward Counties/Dec. 14, 2023

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) is winding down its community COVID-19 clinics for the general population aged 12 and over. Children under 12 will continue to be able to access COVID-19 vaccines from public health. Visit hpepublichealth.ca/vaccine-booking/ for more information and to book an appointment for children under 12.

The last HPEPH COVID-19 vaccine clinics for the general population (12 and older) will be held at the Quinte Mall on:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 20 – 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 21 – 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Appointments are still available for these clinics and can be booked at ontario.ca/book-vaccine/. December 22 onward, COVID-19 and flu vaccinations will continue to be available at many local pharmacies.

“We’re experiencing high rates of respiratory illnesses in the community and I encourage residents to stay up to date with their COVID-19  and flu vaccines. Public health is prioritizing COVID-19 vaccines for children five and younger and will continue to provide vaccines for all under age 12. I encourage all other residents to get a COVID-19 or flu shot at local pharmacies,” says Dr. Ethan Toumishey, Medical Officer of Health and CEO at Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
