Residents invited to walk-in vaccine clinics at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is expanding the options for residents who are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine by offering walk-in appointments today through Saturday, July 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.

Walk-in appointments are available to individuals aged 12 and older in need of either their first or second dose of vaccine. Individuals can only receive their second dose 28 days after their first dose.

Youth 12-17 will receive the Pfizer mRNA vaccine, as this is currently the only COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized by Health Canada for use in individuals aged 12 to 17. Individuals 18 and older will be offered an mRNA vaccine ((either Pfizer or Moderna) depending on supplies.

Individuals attending the walk-in clinics should come prepared to potentially wait outside by bringing water, a sun umbrella, wearing sunscreen and hat.

Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Family Dental Centre Arena , 265 Cannifton Rd, Belleville (Please enter at lights off Cannifton Road and park in Lot “D”)

July 13: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

July 14: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

July 15: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

July 16: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

July 17: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
