Media Release: HPEPH holding COVID-19 testing clinic at Marmora Arena/Fairgrounds tomorrow

Hastings and Prince Edward Counties/Dec. 9, 2021

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, together with Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services, is holding a COVID-19 testing clinic for Mamora Public School students/families and staff and any other individuals in the community who are concerned they may have been exposed, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Out of an abundance of caution, ALL staff and students at Marmora Public School are advised to seek testing for COVID-19, even if symptoms are not present, and even if you have not been identified as a close contact.

The drive-through clinic is:

December 10
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Marmora Arena/Fairgrounds
28 Victoria St., Marmora

No pre-registration is required to attend this clinic. If you have been contacted by HPEPH as a high-risk contact, please inform the person testing you and provide the reference number you were given by HPEPH.

If you have been identified as a high-risk contact of a case of COVID-19 and are:

  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, you must isolate for 10 days from your last exposure to the symptomatic individual and get tested.
  • Fully vaccinated, you are not required to isolate if you DO NOT have symptoms. HOWEVER, it is highly recommended that you get tested and continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. If you develop symptoms you will need to isolate and only leave isolation to get tested or seek urgent medical care.

If anyone within the household of a high-risk contact develops symptoms, they must self-isolate from all other household members immediately and get tested. All unvaccinated or partially vaccinated household members must isolate until the symptomatic person receives a negative test result.
